Amy Poehler is one of my favourite funny people, known for her portrayal as Pawnee’s Leslie Knope in Parks and Recreation, which I’m a big fan of. She’s also a Saturday Night Live alum and co-founded the influential improv school, The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. via:zenpencils

Marie Curie (1867-1934) was a Polish scientist (she later became a French citizen) who did pioneering research on radioactivity, discovered two elements (polonium and radium), won two Nobel prizes (the only woman to win in two separate fields – physics and chemistry) and is an icon of the scientific world.






Howard Johnson (1887-1941) was an American songwriter and lyricist who has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
M-O-T-H-E-R is a song written by Johnson in 1915.
