Beware of the dog

Beware of the dog by George Booth
“That’s my house—it’s an 1834 house. I don’t know if that means anything or not. But the yard needs to be mowed now. I gotta go over and do that. As to why the dog is in the tree? I don’t know. That just happened. He’s not very smart. That’s not nice to say, but he’s guarding the house. I don’t really have that dog, just in my head. I once owned one—I took on a stray, in Pearl Harbor. ”
